Privacy Policy

What information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Overview

Datenix operates a business-to-business data intelligence service. We take privacy seriously and design our systems around three principles: minimum data collection, no sale of personal data, and a clear separation between our published business dataset (public company information) and the small amount of data we collect from our subscribers.

2. Information we collect from you

When you use datenix.xyz or its APIs we collect:

• Account information — the email address you enter at checkout, the plan you selected, and the API key we issue.
• Billing information — handled entirely by Creem (our Merchant of Record). Datenix never sees your full card number. Creem retains a customer identifier we reference for entitlement checks.
• Usage metadata — for each API request we log the request path, response status, byte count, and the API key used. We do this to enforce your monthly quota and to detect abuse. Request bodies and response bodies are not stored.
• Server logs — Cloudflare Workers stores request IP and user-agent for a short retention period (14 days by default). We rely on Cloudflare's standard log aggregation.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not track you across other websites. There is no tracking pixel, no analytics beacon, and no advertising cookie on datenix.xyz.
• We do not collect names, addresses, or phone numbers from you unless you enter them into a contact form.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. The published dataset

Our published dataset covers business entities (SaaS tool domains, e-commerce store domains). This is company-level information gathered from public directories, sitemaps, business registries, and public product pages. Where a natural person is legally distinct from the company (for example, a sole trader whose full personal name is the domain) we take steps not to include personal contact details in the API output.

If you appear in our dataset and believe your listing crosses into personal data, contact privacy@datenix.xyz and we will delete or anonymize the record within seven days.

5. How we use your information

• To deliver the service — issue API keys, enforce quotas, send transactional email (welcome, receipt, cancellation confirmation).
• To improve the product — anonymised aggregate usage patterns (for example, "search-by-domain is used twice as often as list-endpoints").
• To comply with law — we respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.

6. Sub-processors

Datenix relies on the following data processors:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting for the website, Worker runtime, and D1 database. Data is stored on Cloudflare's global edge.
• Creem — Merchant of Record, invoicing, and card processing. Creem's own Privacy Policy applies to the checkout experience.

7. International transfers

Because Cloudflare and Creem operate globally, your personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required by law (for example, GDPR) we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses to protect that transfer.

8. Retention

Account and billing records are retained for as long as your subscription is active and for seven years afterwards to comply with tax and accounting rules. API usage logs are pruned after ninety days. Server logs at Cloudflare are pruned after fourteen days.

9. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent laws)

You have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information; to opt out of sale (we do not sell); and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Send requests to privacy@datenix.xyz. We respond within thirty days.

10. Security

All requests to datenix.xyz and api.datenix.xyz are served over TLS. API keys are stored hashed at rest. Webhooks are authenticated with HMAC-SHA256. We follow the OWASP recommendations for API security.

11. Children's privacy

Datenix is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of eighteen.

12. Contact & changes
